About Bharat Itihas Sanshodhak Mandal

The Bharat Itihas Sanshodhak Mandal was established to provide historians and researchers with immediate resources, save their time, and inspire them. The creation of this Mandal was made possible through the vision of the renowned Indian historian Vishram Kashinath Rajwade, with the essential support of Sardar Khanderao Chintaman Mehendale.

The Mandal was founded on July 7, 1910, in Sardar Mehendale's residence at Anna Balwant Chowk in Pune, with the cooperation of Vishram Kashinath Rajwade and Sardar Khanderao Chintaman Mehendale. The work of the Mandal began with an essay read by Rajwade, with Sardar Mehendale being the sole listener present at that time. Later, the Mandal's location was shifted to the present building in Sadashiv Peth.
